Innovative Ikebana Inspired Workshop Led By Atlanta Florist Engages Audience At Dothan's Wiregrass Museum of Art's Art in Bloom

There's value in inspiring a lifelong appreciation for the visual arts by providing innovative educational programs to engage diverse audiences through the exhibition of quality works.

There's value in providing an audience with exceptional experiences of direct contact with unique objects, works and people of art.

There's value in offering a welcoming environment for everyone to learn in an interactive way that supports the concept ‘art elevates the everyday' (which embodies the importance of observing, practicing, and appreciating creativity in the nature of each day).

The Wiregrass Museum of Art has a strategic growth plan to further develop their already rich reputation for culture, talented artists, and commitment to innovative educational experiences. In fact, by 2032, WMA will be a nationally accredited museum with a modern facility that attracts visitors locally, regionally, and nationally to the southern Alabama region through the transformative power of art.

For people, businesses and communities everywhere, it's essential to identify the strengths of transformative art experiences wholeheartedly. I am grateful for the opportunity last week to serve as a visiting artist.

I had a delightful time seeing Collins Trott (President, WMA Board of Trustees) and Dana-Marie Lemmer(Executive Director) leading the way to elevating art in Dothan, Alabama. I attended the "Art in Bloom" presentation party and also collaborated with the talented Joan McDonald (Development Director) to create a one-of-a-kind presentation to discuss embracing the Japanese art of ikebana while respecting our rich personal stories and local southern fauna.

I am grateful for the the way the ACCENT DECOR, Inc. and Park Hill Collection vessels added to the event brand, aesthetic and goals.

Check out the pictures to see the creative ways that people used florals to uplift the current museum collection (look for the wall art close to the floral design to see their inspiration) and to create their own art and, most importantly, how naturally 'art elevates the everyday!'

I had so much fun being a part of this INCREDIBLE event with this AMAZING team. Thank you for having me!
