We’re mixing it up today and giving you a little peek into some pre-wedding festivities — the rehearsal dinner! You can’t have the wedding without first doing a little practice, and there’s no better way to keep all your nearest and absolute dearest excited about your nuptials than giving them a little taste of what’s to come. So, here’s Bridget and KT in a celebration with a little less “I do!” and yet just as much “I love you!”

A word from photographer Amanda Shaver of Amanda Olivia Photography

“Bridget and KT’s wedding was celebrated in Athens, GA where their relationship began. Bridget and KT met in Athens, GA after their Sophomore year at the University of Georgia. Bridget’s best friend (and one of the bridesmaids) went on a spring break trip and came back raving that she met the male version of Bridget and that she just HAD to meet him. Bridget gave in and went out on a random Wednesday night to the Roadhouse, and met KT. From that moment on they texted all summer while KT was away in Denver and then returned to school in the Fall to discover that they were backdoor neighbors! The rest is history!”

Love notes from the couple, KT & Bridget:

Tell us a funny story relating to your relationship!

Bridget: “My best friend Natalie arranged our relationship. She met KT on spring break and came back to Athens to report that she found the male version of me. She introduced us a few months later and has taken full credit of the relationship since.”

What part of your wedding day was most important to you?

“Saying our vows in front of our families and friends. We wrote our ceremony together in the months leading up to the wedding so it was a very special moment. Weather could not have been worse and worse timing (had the change the ceremony location from the side garden to under a tent 30 minutes before the ceremony) but it didn’t feel like it mattered in that moment. We were so happy to be married.”

If you had one piece of advice for other couples, what would it be?

“Enjoy planning the wedding but be more excited about the future as a married couple. There are countless details and things to get caught up on but enjoy the process and don’t stress about the things you can’t control. Take time at your wedding to take a step back and look at how your family and friends are all there supporting you…it’s an overwhelming but awesome feeling.”
