I love introducing a new things to y'all, and this is good! Harper Fowlkes House is romantic historic venue in Savannah. It's in full bloom at this romantic editorial shoot. Design Studio South planned it all start to finish with a floral vision that allowed us to naturally celebrate the season with color tones of blush and green. The imagery of Harwell Photography told the story our florals want to tell right down to the overblown ruffles of the peonies and velvety texture of the ranunculus that adding a powerful touch of whimsy to the organic arrangements inspired by the garden.

( 1 ) BE INTENTIONALLY SELECTIVE WHEN CHOOSING FLOWERS FOR AN EDITORIAL
Pick the best of the best because editor's attention isn't sparked by things they see every day. Less is really more in the case of publishing because not every image of your florals will be shared, anyway. Load your recipe with only the fine pretties you'd like to work with again in the future. So even if it's just a single bloom next to the most beautiful stationery from Low Country Paper Co the image will have a look that's cohesive and happily elegant.
( 2 ) PROVIDE EXTRA FLORALS FOR THINGS THAT ARE NOT NOT “TRADITIONAL”
Choose a few luxury blooms to the stylist, photographer, and hair person. They can put them in not one, but two okay three, okay as many places as they want to if you hand craft a beautiful line up of blooms. Think outside the cooler, too. Like, why not bring along the most pretty air plants to compliment the magnifying glass from Paris Market.(3) KEEP COLORS SIMPLE & PULL IN ELEMENTS FROM YOUR SURROUNDINGS
A neutral palette combined with a romantic composition of peonies, ranunculus, eucalyptus and garden roses photographs well with anything. Even without any prior knowledge of the dress - don't say we didn't tell you but - the Giada by Blush by Hayley Paige with the soft glittery fabric and beaded waist and shoulders looks STUNNING next to the bouquet. Pulling in elements from your surroundings not only offers a sense of time and place but it gives personality to all it's around even the wood cake stand by Pottery Barn!
This shoot gives me ALL the inspiration I needed to get me through the week! As a journalism major, getting published brings me great excitement. It's fun while a great marketing strategy.
