Her American Grown Flowers peony bouquet, BHLDN cake stand centerpieces filled with pretty garden roses, pincushion protea, dinner plate dahlias, anemones, ranunculus galore, the most amazing foraged floating alter hoop I've ever seen... there is so much beauty overflowing in Emily's real wedding Ruffled blog feature. With over 4.4 million followers Ruffled's founder, Amanda Nistor who was born and raised in Brazil, knows a heck of a lot about how to spot a gorgeous fete -- including the flowers. I felt so excited I could cry the first time I saw the way Mackensey Alexander captured it all (excerpt below). So grab your tissues and head over to the full gallery to see why these magical wedding day florals might just be one of our all time favorites.

Modern Downtown Savannah Wedding
Today’s wedding is hailing from the ever-beautiful Savannah, Georgia. When you have plenty of lovely sights and scenery in this town, it’s no wonder why Emily and Adam wanted to say their I Do’s here. Mackensey Alexander Photography captured the couple’s beautiful wedding day along with all of the very fine details with it. This warm-colored wedding adds such a heavy dash of sophistication and modernity, and what we love the most is that the couple came up with the design all on their own with Ivory + Beau helping them execute their vision. They kept the color palette toned down and went for cool browns and soft neutrals, and then went bold with the flowers and enlisted Colonial House of Flowers for their skills. This elegant fête is one for the books!
From the bride, Emily: Adam and I wanted our wedding to feel like an intimate, joyful dinner with our friends and family. We wanted our wedding to feel formal yet understated, modern yet warm, and elegant yet relaxed. We wanted every moment to genuinely feel like us, and to reflect our joy. More than anything, we wanted to give our guests the opportunity to feel our love – both the love between Adam and me, and the love we have for all of them.
Adjectives that describe our wedding: warm, intimate, industrial, organic, romantic, clean, understated, fun. Most of my friends and family joke that I never wear color (I’m definitely a neutral kind of girl), so our wedding followed suit. Everything was very neutral and we focused more on texture than color. The only real exception was that I wanted the natural color and vibrancy of the florals to stand out against a neutral palette. We decided on grey suits for the groom and groomsmen (they could choose their own), and a neutral palette for the bridesmaids dresses (they could also choose their own). All of the paper goods (except the invitation suite) were DIY (including the menu, programs, place cards and escort cards, table runners, welcome boxes/packages, signage, etc).
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? To be true to yourself. We went through a number of concepts (and several complete overhauls) within the first month or two of wedding planning. We would finally decide on something, but we would feel unsettled about it. We originally started planning a much more formal event (lots of stark black and white), but then settled into ourselves. We realized that on some level, we were trying to plan a wedding based on what was expected, not on what we wanted. As soon as we made choices based on our personality as a couple, we started heading in the right direction. Instead of focusing on what we wanted things to look like, we started focusing on what we wanted things to feel like – and then everything fell into place.
