ENGLISH GARDEN STYLE WEDDING IDEAS
Did someone say pretty English Country Garden style weddings?? Disclaimer: the vast majority of our lovely bridal audience are based in the good ol' US of A but despite this, I (Editor, Sara) live in the quaint little country of England. Yes, I drink tea. Yes, I have a cute accent (to anyone outside of the UK that is...). Yes, I drive on the left. But that doesn't mean I don't love to see quintessential English style wedding inspiration! I love it! And photographer Savain Phann with stylist Molly Mckinley have created such a beautiful, light, romantic editorial here with a smidge of Southern charm in the heart of Georgia, USA...
From Savain Phann: "Wow! No need to jump the pond to get old once a castle, estate, ruins now a beautiful resort and wedding venue in the middle of Georgia. The Barnsley Resort, and newly remodeled wedding venue was not just amazing as is, but once I saw images of the ruins it transported me to England. Molly’s and I vision was to take a fresh spin on. the English garden classic and bring in a tad of that Southern charm. My main goal was to highlight the ruins during the ceremony and parts of the couple’s romantic. The old brick arches made a pretty dramatic backdrop. We wanted to soften up the brick with romantic tones throughout the paper goods and seasonal florals. Not only did the ruins give this venue that European vibe, but the English style courtyard with stunning trimmed boxwood hedges. Keeping with the soft and romantic palette the bride’s hair and makeup was dewy and so effortless to highlight her natural beauty. Lastly, we come full circle and paid a homage to the Southern Charm with the southern lace and cane chairs that completed the beautiful tablescape."
