Morgan Stanley's hosted the annual Multicultural Leadership Summit at the Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The two day in-person event gathers top executives, investors, entrepreneurs and policy makers to reflect on their experience.

“Over the past few years, we have witnessed immense tragedy, chaos, and loss," said Carla Harris, Senior Client Advisor at Morgan Stanley during last year's welcoming remarks. “Yet, in the midst of these difficult times, we, as well as our communities and our leaders, have demonstrated remarkable resilience, and we’ve continued to empower one another and work toward meaningful and long-lasting change.” These remarks seem especially appropriate for this year's event since it falls on a tragic day in recent American history: September 11th.

PRA Events, Inc. really created an unforgettable, custom, and unique scene. The combination of dynamic and luxe florals and green plants with textured and visually interesting CB2 compotes made the corporate event space come to life in all the best ways.  The PRA Events, Inc. team composed of Liz Henley (Senior Event Producer), Kate Bloomquist (Event Producer), and Monica Eastes (Regional Finance Manger) challenged Colonial House of Flowers to bring life to the conference in a modern way while being respectful of the historical symbolism of the September 11th date that opening day fell upon.

The Omni Hotel at CNN Center was elevated from the sleepy, stoic meeting space into a refreshing experience. We used the florals to bring some warmth to a cold space for team registration, gathering, networking and projects.

CHALLENGE: Utilize the corporate event florals to transform dark, stale, generic meeting spaces into ones that welcomes participants with a feeling of warmth, refreshment and dignity-- on time, within a tight budget using creative design and special touches.

We chose CB2's White Ceramic Pedestal Bowl to be the star of the show. This sculptural piece is made for display. The way this vessel surfaces linear texture and opens wide to hold decorative objects embodies the Morgan Stanley brand and the spirit of this multi-cultural event. We think the overall floral plan artfully narrates the investment firm's global campaign, "Old world grit. New world ideas" created by Lippencott. This is Morgan Stanley's first global campaign in four years so we wanted to compliment the brand identity with our botanical plan right down to the white rock and real succulent plants used to create a living centerpiece.
